CELEBRATING MILITARY CHILDREN

Each April, we get to recognise the important role that military children play in the Armed Forces family. NSI provides special opportunities for military children in the UK to have their voices heard.

We offer a variety of resources, which can be downloaded below.

Competition

Annually in April, we hold a Poetry and Art Competition for Month of the Military Child, open to young people 8-18 years old. There are winners in 4 categories: Army, RAF, RNRN and Civilian
There is a special bonus category: Best Display by a school/group, which all ages can enter.

This year’s poetry and art competition asked children and young people to respond to the theme 'Friends Near and Far', with entries recognising the impact of relocating on service children and their friends.
