NSI YOUNG AMBASSADORS SPEAK ON PANEL

What better way to challenge adultism than by having young people sit on a panel and let their voices and opinions be heard? Two of our brilliant young ambassadors, Sangeun and Valentino, alongside Katie and respected academic colleagues spoke on a panel on the topic at the EISA Pan-European Conference on International Relations.

Bringing young people into rooms and having them as subject matter experts is vital in ensuring their voices are not just heard but taken seriously.

One of the attendees shared, ‘This by far was the best panel I’ve attended this conference.’

Will and long-standing NSI partner Professor Alice König also brought work from our archive to the centre of the conversation with their talk: 'Youth Storytelling: Narrating New Worlds Now'. They outlined some of the alternative knowledge-sharing and knowledge-producing processes that young people use to challenge hegemonic narratives that dominate contemporary understandings of war and peace. 

Throughout the conference, we met so many interesting people, who we look forward to working with more in the future.
